Compassion

Every year I make two lists: "Things I Want More Of In My Life" and "Things I Want Less Of In My Life". And then my WORK throughout the year is to manifest those lists. On the MORE list for 2016 I had both 'Singing' and 'Dancing'. The singing part worked out pretty well for me. Among other things, I released a record for kids, in Swedish, yay but the dancing, nah, not so good. I gotta fix that next year!

Another thing on my MORE list 2016 was to write. Not only as in "write obsessively with a pen on paper" but also as in just ..."Write".  I remember writing being on last years list too. Nothing happened last year. And nothing this year until... BOOM... on Thanksgiving I just decided to get rid of all lame excuses like "English is not my first language". Bye bye excuses, and hello & welcome tiny little blog. Four blog posts so far and I hope that in the end of next year it has grown with 52 more post.

Hello and welcome also to affirmation of the week: COMPASSION. The only "one-word" reminder in my collection so far. This word has many definitions, and this one is my favorite one: "Release judgements about yourself and others, and focus on the love and light that is within everyone".

I added this affirmation after reading an article "Compassion and The Individual" by Dalai Lama where he deepens this theme. "From my own limited experience I have found that the greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of love and compassion. The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater our own sense of well-being becomes".

And if you follow me on instagram or facebook maybe you've seen that I've printed this article and sent it along with one of my unisex reminders to Donald Trump. Can't blame a girl for trying.

If you read last weeks blog, sorry about the delay. You probably want to know RIGHT NOW if Ryan Gosling happened to see me sing in that sexy Santa Lucia outfit or not. There's a pretty quick answer to that question. No. Neither Emma (Stone) nor Ryan was in sight, but we all pretended they were. Hoping for better luck in my gown next year.

Bye for now / Thank you for reading / Comment if you want / See you next week.

P.S. Song of the week was recommended to me by my son Julian Luving You by 6LACK. He knows me. The perks of having awesome kids.
